Good morning monster readers! I am so excited to have author Obsession Williams on the blog today.

Welcome Obsession!

It has been a pleasure working with you on this project.

Obsession Williams

von
I’m just a girl born and raised on the west side of Chicago, who likes sending imaginary people to hell and back. I let all of their skeletons out of the closet, strip their souls bare, and make them come to grips with that fact that you have to FEEL in order to HEAL. Yeah, my characters are a mess, but y’all wouldn’t have it any other way 😉

InterviewWhat inspired you to be an author?
I’ve been a poet my whole life, and I thought that was the extent of my writing skills, but then, an old friend of mine challenged me to write one chapter of whatever came to my mind. Once I did that I fell in love, and from that love came the birth of my very first novella “Climatic Successions”
What genre do you write?
Romance and erotica
What is your current project?
I’ve just completed an urban romance story called “All We Wanted Was Forever” & now I’m chipping away at an erotic short story called “Dent in my halo”
What were you like as a child? Did you like to write then?
I was quiet, creative and strong-willed, basically who I am today. I started writing poetry at the age of seven. My first poem was a homework assignment. It was titled, “To Whom it may concern” it was about a dog trying to find his way home.
What is your favorite book? Why?
My favorite book is called “Finding Laura” by Kay Hooper. It’s a refreshing love story that made me feel like I was right there with the characters.
What is your favorite book that you have written? Why?
The book that I love that was written by me is called “The Final Lie” it is the final book in the Love Ain’t Shh… series. This particular book shows the vulnerability of a devoted man, and how men too can be stupid in love. The truth and the drama in that book is off the chain.
Do you ever use a pseudonym? Why or why not?
Yes, my pen name is Obsession. Why? Well because people can’t do without me 😉
Do you have a writing routine?
Absolutely not, BUT I do like writing early morning whenever I can.
How do you decide on character names and plots?
I don’t decide, they just come to me.
Are you a full-time author or do you have a day job?
I work now at a drug and alcohol women’s rehab facility, but I will be writing full-time soon.
What is your latest book and what was the inspiration for it?
My latest book won’t go live until August 24th. The inspiration behind it is, readers love urban romance stories, but they are really getting tired of the same ole storylines. “All We Wanted Was Forever” is giving them what they want with a refreshing twist. This book will also help to expand my fan base.
Do you have any advice for aspiring authors?

Research everybody before you do business with them. Write your trilogy or series before you release the first one. Keep certain things close to your chest because the hating is real, and these authors love to steal. You will look up and they would have taken your name off of YOUR book cover and replace it with their own.
